Academic Advantage is the premier tutoring resource in RI and SE Massachusetts for grades K-12. Created in 2006, we help provide supplemental services for any student wishing to enhance his or her classroom performance. No matter how well a child performs in the classroom, there are always methods to improve academic excellence with one-on-one private instruction. ONE ON ONE INSTRUCTION



Academic Advantage offers academic tutoring in all subjects through productive and pleasant learning experiences. Every tutoring session is individually designed to fit a student’s needs and learning abilities. We will work with your child’s current classroom assignments and prepare your child for any upcoming tests. In addition, we will monitor each student’s progress by issuing a progress report at the end of each session. Services are offered both in person and online.

STANDARDIZED TEST PREPARATION



Our standardized test preparation is conducted by tutors with extensive experience in teaching overall testing strategy, time management, math and verbal strategies and essay topic preparedness. We offer preparation and sample testing for the PSAT, SAT and ACT. Independent research studies have shown higher scores for students who prepare for these exams in advance.

ENRICHMENT SERVICES



One of our premier services is our enrichment program. Many parents do not realize how much progress your child could make in reading and writing during their elementary grades by having an individualized program of instruction. We have a well-tested, guided reading and writing program for children in grades K-3, and a transitional reading and writing program for students in grades 4 and 5. With this kind of individualized attention, parents will be amazed at the ability level that their child will attain by the end of the school year. Enjoyment and success in reading and writing at an early age will translate into higher grades in all subject areas as your child develops. Services are offered both in person and online.


In addition, we offer math instruction in a fun and pleasant way so a child grows up enjoying math. No matter what math level your child has attained, our one-on-one instruction will allow the student to reach goals that otherwise would be unattainable.
